December’s PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue and Classics titles announced

Sony Interactive Entertainment has confirmed December’s 2023’s PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue and Classics titles.

Unlike December’s PlayStation Plus Essential games, which are available for all subscribers to claim, Game Catalogue’s downloadable PS4 and PS5 titles are only available for Extra and Premium tier members.

This month’s additions (which are listed in full below) include Grand Theft Auto 5, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin and Metal: Hellsinger.

PlayStation Plus Premium also offers a selection of PS1, PS2 and PSP games to download, and PS3 games via cloud streaming.

December’s additions to the Classics Catalogue are Mega Man Legacy Collection, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, Thrillville, Thrillville: Off the Rails and Buzz Lightyear of Star Command.

All the games listed below will be available beginning on December 19.

December’s PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue and Classics titles announced

Sony increased PlayStation Plus subscription prices by up to 35% in September. The move saw the cost of 12-month subscription plans for the service’s Essential, Extra and Premium tiers rise by $20-$40 / £10-£20 / €12-€32 depending on the chosen membership plan.

“Like practically everything else in the world, we have to look at our pricing and we have to adjust to market conditions,” SIE’s head of global marketing, Eric Lempel, said of the price hikes.
