Independence Day: Farmers of this state rejoiced on Independence Day, the government waived crop loans

Farmers Loan: Telangana farmers have had fun on this Independence Day. The reason for the fun is a decision of the state government. The state government has decided that the government will repay the debt of farmers taking cropped loans less than one lakh rupees. The state government is paying the debts of the farmers taking cropped loans from various banks.

Telangana government has waived agricultural loans of less than one lakh rupees of more than 9 lakh farmers. On the eve of Independence Day celebrations, the Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao ordered the release of funds for debt forgiveness, fulfilling the promise made during the election. CM said that farmers taking less than one lakh rupees will be relieved of the debt burden and decided to pay the debt to the banks up to Rs 99,999 Will go.

Money immediately deposited banks

Chief Minister of Telangana. Chandrasekhar Rao has said that money will be deposited immediately in banks on behalf of farmers. After this, the State Finance Department issued Rs 5,809.78 crore for 9,02,843 farmers. The amount released will be deposited in the bank accounts of the farmers. After assuming power for the second time in a row in 2018, CM KCR promised to forgive the debt of farmers taking cropped loans less than one lakh rupees by 11 December 2018. However, due to the consequences of the Corona epidemic, lockdown and demonetization in the country, the government faced great problems in mobilizing resources.

Now turn to less than one lakh rupees

On August 2, CM KCR decided to complete the loan in 45 days. The government had paid Rs 1,943.64 crore to the banks in case of 7,19,488 farmers taking loans up to Rs 50,000. Now new orders have been issued for settlement of loan amount up to Rs 99,999. With the latest decision, the government has paid Rs 7,753 crore, benefiting a total of 16,66,899 farmers.

Boon for farmers

Minister of State and Executive Chairman of BRS.T. Rama Rao described it as another boon for the farmers of Telangana under the compassionate rule of CM KCR. He tweeted that the farmer-friendly Telangana government has waived crop loans of Rs 5,809 crore less than Rs 99,999 in a single day. He said, proud that Telangana is the only Indian state to forgive agricultural debt twice on such a large scale.
