There is a star on the number of your note, will it work or not? Know what the Reserve Bank has said

Bank Note: RBI issued a notification saying that the star marked note is completely valid. There is no problem in their transactions. These notes have been replaced by some other note due to which a star has been placed on them.

New Delhi: Do you have many such notes in your purse, which have a star (*) mark in the middle of the series? Seeing the note with star mark, the question is arising in the mind of the people whether this note is real or not? In view of these apprehensions of the people, the Reserve Bank of India has issued a statement. RBI has said that the star mark note is completely a legal note. RBI issued a notification saying that these notes have been replaced by some other note, due to which a star has been placed on them.

Why star mark is put
RBI has said that there is no problem with the star-studded note and it is completely valid. The central bank said that the star note is introduced to simplify note printing and reduce the cost of note making. It was started in the year 2006. The Reserve Bank said that there is a lot of discussion on the social media about the starred notes. The Reserve Bank of India said that such notes are completely legal. The star mark is applied to notes that are exchanged for misprinted notes or unusable notes.

For the past few days, there is a lot of discussion about the note with the star mark. After which the central bank took cognizance and responded today and has removed the apprehensions of the people by issuing notifications. RBI clarified that the note bearing the star mark is the identifier that it is a replaced/reprinted bank note.
