Shiv Gopal Mishra, general secretary of the All India Railway men’s Federation, also says that the central government wants to increase the dearness allowance by only 3 percent this time. Whereas on the basis of AICPI data released by the Ministry of Labour, the employees and pensioners are demanding a four percent increase in DA.

At present, no official announcement has been made by the government regarding the increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief (7th Pay Commission). Meanwhile, the central employees hope that in view of the inflation, the central government can announce it as soon as possible. It is being told that between Raksha Bandhan and Diwali, the central government can announce an increase in dearness allowance anytime.

The good thing among all this is that the increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief (7th Pay Commission) will be considered applicable from July 1, 2023, last month. If the government increases the dearness allowance by 3 percent, then it will increase from 42 to 45 percent. At the same time, on an increase of 4 percent, it will become 46 percent.
