7th Pay Commission: DA Hike Update Coming On July 31, Will DA Of Central Government Employees Reach 46%? Here Is What We Know So Far

7th Pay Commission DA Hike Latest update: The recognized formula, which is based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission, shall be followed in order to raise DA.

7th Pay Commission Latest update– Lakhs of central government employees who have been waiting for the announcement of the Dearness Allowance (DA) raise may hear an update on the DA hike by the end of July. This more optimistic outlook is caused by the AICPI Index data computation. The final data for determining the calculation of Dearness Allowance and the foundation for determining the DA quantum will be the AICPI Index number for the month of July. 

According to media reports, DA Hike update might come on July 31st. The established formula based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission must be followed for the preparation of DA.

Seventh Pay Commission Latest Update – Thousands of state government employees, who were waiting for Dearness Allowance (DA) hike notification, may get DA hike update by the end of July.

This more optimistic view comes from the data calculation of the AICPI index. The final data for determining the calculation of Dearness Allowance and the basis for determining the quantum of DA is July AICPI index number.

If the latest media reports are to be believed, the dearness may increase by four percent in July. This means that DA can go up to 46% from the current 42%.

As per media reports, the update on DA Hike could come on July 31. The recognized formula, which is based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission, shall be followed in order to raise DA.

Institutional support for state employees is reviewed twice a year. The first is given from January to June, and the second from July to December.


The DA march may be announced in September or October
In March 2023, the government increased workers’ compensation by 4 percent, effective from January 2023. Its next review is scheduled for July 2023, but it is officially assumed that it will be in September or October.
March 2023 Dearness Allowance Increase.


It may be recalled that in March, the Union government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave its consent to release the additional portion of Value Added Allowance for government employees and pensioners from January 1, 2023.

The additional contribution is a 4 per cent increase on the current 38 per cent basic pay/pension rate to offset price rises. The complex impact on the country on account of both Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief would be Rs.12,815.60 crore per annum.

About 47.58 lakh central government employees and 69.76 lakh pensioners will benefit from this.
